What happened to just saying Hello

Skype, IM, Facebook, Twitter, Email, Craigslist , Webinar's what happened to the days of direct interaction. I am guilty as the rest of us for using the non face to face communication that the internet, IPhone, and wireless access have brought to us to use on a daily basis. Do people still sit down and have family dinners? Do people send letters in the mail? Is that why the post office has rate hike after rate hike? Or are the rate hikes to pay for the million dollar mansions to relocate the ordinary worker? Blogging is also a non verbal communication that seems to be sweeping across the world (as I am guilty of this as well). This is a art form that is viewed by hundreds or thousands that are open to new ideas or possibility.

These tools are just that tools! I am a gadget junky just like the next guy, but I still crave that face to face communication. So what is my point, there are hundreds of ways to communicate and the best way to get your point across no matter what, is verbal and direct communication. So sit down with your family and have a gadget free dinner!

This is so true how technology runs our lives now. I remember when life was so much simpler and not complicated. Now everyone expects you to answer them 2.2 seconds after they send you a message.

I know exactly what you mean. People do not know how to communicate anymore. Another great post. Thanks for your insight.
