Are you driving or riding?

Do you get up every morning and know that you have a JOB to go to? Do you wake up every morning wondering if you have a JOB to go to? Does the end of every quarter make you sick to your stomach because you know lay offs are coming? Do you work 60-70 hours a week and only get paid for 40? If you answered yes to any of these questions than you are riding! What the heck do I mean by that, well you are riding in the car with a one way ticket. Every body who works is one day away from getting laid off or downsized. People worry about this every day, I know from talking to my parents they could be with the same company for 30 years and they had no worries. Now its people my age in the 30's who are one day away from getting let go.

So, how can we be different from our parents.... we can drive. What do I mean by driving? We can take control of our lives and our financial success. When I ask someone what they do they automatically tell me about their job. So, I guess their job defines who they are. When someone asks me what I do I tell them I travel, ski, workout, run and enjoy time with my family. I define my life by who I am not what I am a part of. I am driving my life and so can you.

What happened to just saying Hello

Skype, IM, Facebook, Twitter, Email, Craigslist , Webinar's what happened to the days of direct interaction. I am guilty as the rest of us for using the non face to face communication that the internet, IPhone, and wireless access have brought to us to use on a daily basis. Do people still sit down and have family dinners? Do people send letters in the mail? Is that why the post office has rate hike after rate hike? Or are the rate hikes to pay for the million dollar mansions to relocate the ordinary worker? Blogging is also a non verbal communication that seems to be sweeping across the world (as I am guilty of this as well). This is a art form that is viewed by hundreds or thousands that are open to new ideas or possibility.

These tools are just that tools! I am a gadget junky just like the next guy, but I still crave that face to face communication. So what is my point, there are hundreds of ways to communicate and the best way to get your point across no matter what, is verbal and direct communication. So sit down with your family and have a gadget free dinner!

Its ok to dream

Do you control your dreams or do they control you? Did you know that you can use dreams to help come up with solutions to problems you are working on?

Do you know how to remember your dreams? Well, if you never knew that there could be answers to these questions you are in the right spot.

Before you go to bed at night, pose a question to yourself before going to bed and you could or may dream about it. Keep a note pad next to your bed and when you wake up from a dream write down exactly what you remember and review when you fully wake up.

So, use your dreams to come up with solutions to your problems and have a great night.

Focus on what you want

Have you ever noticed if you think of someone who you haven't thought of or seen in quite sometime and all of a sudden they appear in your life again. Do you believe in coincidence? Do you put your energy and thoughts in to what you really want and all of a sudden you receive exactly what you focused on. This way of thinking is not coincidental or by accident it is your thoughts becoming things. If you focus on what you want you will get exactly what you asked for. Try it! Start out small, ask for someone to buy you a cup of coffee, or lunch or for money to appear in your life unexpectedly. When it happens the first time you will be blown away! When it continually happens you now understand that what you focus on you get.

Check us out to see what new things we decide to post. Please post your thoughts and what you receive.

Train, Coach and Mentor

Do you have people in your life who are there to help you? Or do you have people in your life who are getting in your way? We are people of integrity and people who are here to help teach, coach and mentor you into a life of fulfillment. Does your boss determine your hours, your pay, your bonuses and how many weeks of vacation you get a year? What if you could determine all of this yourself and only work 20-25 hours a week? Would your life be better? Are you living an authentic life of integrity or are you walking around in life being more reactive than proactive?
Remember, if you are not being a mentor then you are mentoring someone. Somebody, is always watching what you are doing and what you are saying. So do the right thing!

If you are interested in creating a life that you want, contact us, leave us a message and we will get back to you.

Work smarter not harder

This is how we live our life. After being in the military for 18 years we have learned that we need to work smarter and not harder. These principals we share with our family and friends and they kind of look at us like...really!? Life is so simple and if you do things that make sense that is what its all about. We multitask our lives to the point that we use every minute to the best that we can. WE love our life because we maximize our time. We work our business 4-5 hours a day we sleep 6-7 hours so that gives us 11-13 hours to do what we want when we want and how we want. What more can you ask for?

Being Positive

Have you ever known someone who could find the best in the worst? Do you know that person who is always happy with their life? Do you know someone who is always smiling, energetic and full of life? We all know someone like that! These are the people who take life by the horns, enjoy it, and live it with passion. Is it that hard to look at the positive? Can you start your day off on a positive note? Can you jump out of bed and be happy that a new day has started? I think we all can. When my alarm clock goes off on the days that I use one I pop right up and start my day. I believe if you start each day with passion you are starting it correctly. Everyone has their daily routine of how they get ready in the morning. But if you started your day off with a smile each morning versus dreading what the day has planned for you, I KNOW you will have passion for all your days ahead of you!

Find a mentor

If you are the smartest person you know then you need to find some new friends! If you are the richest person you know then you need to find new friends. Everyone should have a mentor. That mentor should bring something to the table. By that I mean they should offer you something whether its coaching and teaching they should bring value.

A mentor should be interesting and interested in you. A mentor should help guide you too reach your goals and strive for more. A mentor should be there for you when you need to be told you are doing a good job or a bad job. A mentor should not have to motivate you, tell you what to do and how to do it. If you have a mentor in your life that means their time is valuable and should not be wasted. When you are around your mentor you should bring value to your encounters as well. Do not just show up to be mentored.

Things to look for in a mentor... experience, success, wisdom, educated, and has created a following of others who also believe they are succesful.

Mentors are not hard to find they are hard to slow down to have them coach you. So when you find a mentor ask yourself how you are helping them.

Take action

Today I want you to take action and defy the masses. Do something different that you would not normally do. Go skydiving, buy a Rolex, test drive your favorite vehicle, cut your hair. What ever it is you wanted to do just do it. If you are living your life the way other people want you to than today is your day to Take Action. I don't mean do anything illegal, but if you have a goal or a desire to do something than as the infamous Michael Jordan said, "Just Do It."

Inaugeration = Change... we will see

Well January 20th has come and gone and it was a spectacular site to see our 1st Black President become our leader and Commander in Chief. The changes that will occur will seem to happen fast but other changes that the American public are looking for will seem to lag. Our economy that is in shambles, corporate downsizing and outsourcing will not change anytime soon. A President and his new cabinet will not have any near term affect on peoples employment. Remember, the best way to earn the money you want is to either work 60-80 hours per week or join our system where we work our business 15-20 hours per week from where ever in the world we want. If you want to learn more about what we do check out our website www.bestamazinglife.com

Not So Happy Holiday? Why Not?

500,000 people lost their jobs last month. 2,000,000 lost their jobs since last year. The auto industry is looking at closing plants, Bank of America laid off 5,000 people recently, the mortgage industry is still a mess. So, is it safe to say Happy Holidays to people you do not know. I was saying good bye to some one the other day and said Happy Holidays and the person I said it to No, its not so happy holidays due to what is going on around the world. Well, I have to disagree a year ago I was in Iraq for the holidays, this year I am home and safe and sound. I think it was a wonderful Holiday. People who are down and out about what is out of there control are absorbed in matters that they cannot control. Life happens and other situations occur daily, get upset with the things you control and let everything else just happen.

We Are Back...

Well, after a long break from the reality of loving and enjoying life we are back to our "normal" lives. We had a nice 2 week break where we just spent time with each other and our families and friends. Every year the holidays bring us lots of joy and to be able to spend it with our families makes us even more happy. After missing the holidays last year with my deployment to Iraq, this year was extra special to my family and me. First, we spent the start of the holidays with my family for 4 days up until Christmas Day and then we spent 4 days with Val's family starting on Christmas. We went into NYC for the day and saw the holiday themed windows at Macy's, Saks and Lord and Taylor. Then we we went to Rockefeller Center and saw the beautiful Christmas tree and displays there. We took a few days and went skiing in MA and up in VT a few times as well. It was great to get out every day and still be able to work our business, whether we were traveling or skiing we made money. We have decided that 2009 is going to be even better than 2008! It can be for YOU TOO, so contact us if you want to make 2009 your best year EVER!
